Programs
The main aim of the training work package is to encourage and enable other municipalities, property developers, investors in the building sector or engineering companies to realise similar projects (replication) and to provide support to them by facilitating the penetration of sustainable energy concepts and energy systems. The know-how transfer via training workshops shall encourage an immediate replication and may lead to start-ups in the field of engineering consultants. Training workshops will not only be offered to the associated communities, integrated in POLYCITY.
Public training offers will accompany the POLYCITY project to rise awareness for renewable energy concepts and techniques among the citizens and encourage participation.
In order to communicate the methods and results of the POLYCITY project the consortium will build up training programmes for three different target groups:
- Thematic workshops (for associated communities, i.e. municipalities, decision-makers on local and national level, stakeholders, city planners, engineering consultants).
- University teaching modules (for students and young scientists).
- Public training modules (for citizens and school classes).
