POLYCITY Final Conference
Visions of Sustainable Urban Energy Systems is the topic of POLYCITY's International Final Conference in Stuttgart's Wagenhallen from 16th to 17th September 2010. At the conference, worldwide examples of highly efficient urban quarters with renewable energy among the POLYCITY urban quarters in Italy, Germany and Spain will be discussed.
Interested representatives from the energy sector, architecture, politics and administration and economical organisations, universities and research organisations are invited to the event. The guest speaker, Dr. Franz Alt, author, journalist and TV editor speaks about the "future of cities". Wagenhallen
POLYCITY is a project of the CONCERTO initiative for Sustainable Urban Development, co-funded by the European Commission. In focus are energy efficient buildings, the use of renewable energies and large scale energy management systems.
The German project area Scharnhauser Park can be visited on 15th September 2010.
CITYNET
The CITYNET workshop will be held on 15th September 2010 offering participants the opportunity to learn how to use the newest renewable supply simulations for communal energy management, which have been tried and tested in the project area "Scharnhauser Park".
CITYNET is a European graduate school for sustainable urban development and on urban energy management.
Registration for all parts of the events is necessary. Registration closes on Monday 6. September 2010.

The participation fee is 100 € including 7%VAT. The participation fee covers participation at the CITYNET workshop, the POLYCITY Excursion and the Conference (including lunch, refreshments and conference materials) as well as the evening party.
