Institut Cerdą (IC)Fundació Privada

The Institut Cerdą is an independent, neutral and non-profit private foundation, which collaborates with public and private organisations in order to develop innovative projects and initiatives. The IC will work in the demonstration tasks related to the demand side: for the energy assessments and writing down the technical components of the eco-buildings ordinance. It will also work in the biomass feasibility study, which is a task of supply side activities.

Centre d'Innovació Tecnolņgica en Revalorització Energčtica i Refrigeració, Universitat Rovira i Virgili (CREVER/URV)

CREVER is the Centre of Technological Innovation on Heat Pumping and Refrigeration and is part of the University Rovira I Virgili of Tarragona. Tasks and objectives of CREVER are focussed on the development of advanced energy conversion technologies in co-operation with partners from industry and the public sector. CREVER plays an important role in the innovation supply side and in the integration of supply and demand.

Institut Catalą d Energģa (ICAEN)

The Institut Catalą d’Energķa (ICAEN), is a public company standing under the direction of the Generalitat of Catalonia's Department of Trade and Industry. The main functions of the ICAEN are divided in 5 goals: promotion of energy efficiency and the rational use of energy, promotion of research and development in the field of energy technologies, promotion of the training of professionals in the energy field, and preparation of studies and proposals for energy legislation and international co-operation. In the Polycity project ICAEN will work in the following tasks: review of technical information, technical assessment, control of the efficiency of the energy generation sites, as well as dissemination strategies.

Departament de Medi Ambient i Habitatge, Generalitat de Catalunya (DMAH)

DMAH is the Environmental Department of the Generalitat de Catalyuna. It plays an important role in the innovation supply side. DMAH will develop the ecological performance assessment jointly with the Institut Cerdą. DMAH will work on the replicability of the results for new planning projects, on the socio-economic analysis and technological risk assessment as well as on the dissemination strategy.

Concorci Urbanistic del Centre Direccional de Cerdanyola del Vallčs (ConsCd)

The Department de Politica Territorial i Obres Publiques is represented by the new partner CONSORCI URBANISTIC DEL CENTRE DIRECCIONAL DE CERDANYOLA DEL VALLČS. The Consortium is a public agency formed by the municipality of Cerdanyola del Vallčs and the INCASOL. The Consortium is responsible to execute the urbanistic development of the area and for the implementation of the current project. On the other hand, it offers an innovative, sustainable and high efficiency system to manage and supply the energy in this area.
