Location
Arquata is located close to the city centre of Torino, but is isolated from the surrounding urban areas by physical barries such as two railways tracks and one bridge.
The physical isolation generated a progressive social separation and marginalisation of the district. Its social and occupational situation became critical and was accompanied by a progressive urban deterioration. Services and economic activities have always been locally absent.
